all about me

I have lived in the UK my whole life and food has always been an intrinsic part of me, having grown up within a Thai community of “aunties” and “uncles” all working within the restaurant industry here and my own dad being a Thai chef. I have definitely inherited my love of cooking from my dad. Back when my dad first started his restaurant in the UK, it wasn’t possible to get all the necessary Thai ingredients, so my dad would make his own sauces from scratch or adapt recipes to make use of locally available produce. This has given me an appreciation for freshly prepared food and making use of locally available ingredients where possible, as well as a passion for fusing flavours and ingredients from different cultures to bring a new twist to traditional Thai cuisine.

My food is mainly Thai and Asian-style cooking, inspired by the food I grew up with here in the UK and of course, my dad’s own cooking. Some of my dishes are traditional Thai food, like you’d find in restaurants, others are perhaps lesser known dishes which are popular with Thai people and my family. I’m also lucky to be able to share some of my dad’s own signature dishes which you can’t find anywhere else.I want to make my food available and accessible to all and so have included vegan options.  I am also happy to substitute ingredients due to any food allergy/intolerance reasons. For example, I can substitute normal soy sauce with gluten free soy sauce or fish sauce with vegan fish sauce.  Please specify any requirements in the notes.
