About me

Hello, I am Vadna, and I was brought up in London surrounded by my extended family and that is where I found my passion for cooking good and flavourful Indian food. For me, cooking is therapeutic and I love trying new dishes with the variety of foods that we have available to us. I have been living in Bristol for 33 years since getting married and I love the quieter life here compared to the busy London life that I had! I work part-time as an Admin and Finance Manager in a local Nursery. I love exercising and listening to music (especially when I am cooking)! I also cook vegetarian curries for an organisation in Bedminster which they freeze and sell – I love sharing good food!

About my food

I mainly cook Gujarati Indian food. I can cook Gujarati snacks as well as main meals. Living in an extended family I learnt to cook from a young age mainly by my mum and gran. My mum is a fantastic cook! My food is tasty, spicy and aromatic and I tend to put healthier twists on the food where I can e.g. I use less oil, gee and sugar; but this does not in anyway compromise on taste or quality.
