My name is Indira Cepero Roman and I am from Havana, Cuba. I inherited my passion for cooking from my grandmother Luisa and mother Teresa and grew up watching them preparing delicious dishes. Since arriving in Bristol, I have loved cooking my traditional Cuban dishes for friends.My favourite one “Congri” - black beans and rice – is always a success and shouts of “La Cubana, cook those tasty beans with rice for us again” resonate whenever we plan a party.In October 2018, I was part of an event representing Cuba with my food. I was pregnant with my second child and decided that now was the time to bring my passion for cooking to the next level. This is when my business “La Cubana” was formed, named after my friends’ nickname for me, and I have been creating my Cuban dishes for the people of Bristol ever since.all about my food
La Cubana specialises in Cuban cuisine mixing recipes and flavours from all Latin America. The food is homemade and perfect for family and friends. I always make sure that all the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. Many of my dishes are Gluten Free, suitable for Vegans, Vegetarians and also for coeliac disease.see more..

We absolutely loved Indira’s food and really enjoyed chatting over the garden fence when we collected it too. Her enthusiasm for cooking and Cuban food are infection. We will definitely order again, in fact I don’t know why we haven’t already!

Wonderful delicious food from the lovely Indira! The coriander sauce with the croquetas was fantastic. The prawn enchilado was perfect, and the flan de leche totally divine. Thank you Indira :)
