Inspired from having two great cooks for parents (including a Mum who sold spring rolls outside the school gate), I love cooking and all things food.  I enjoy connecting with fellow foodies on a food blog via Instagram and Tik Tok (@thelazybowl). Check it out! 

about my food

I love cooking dishes from all over the world, but my connection with my half Malaysian-Chinese heritage has inspired this menu. My mum had her own business ("Jacquis hot'n'spicy!") teaching groups how to cook Chinese food in their homes. As a kid I would watch my mum, helping her as she cooked dishes like soy braised pork belly, sweet and sour salmon and Malaysian curries. Later on, my Dad became passionate too. I have precious memories of increased responsibilities with him. Think homemade pastry for glazed strawberry tarts, tarte tatin, handmade ravioli... Now I’m more than the sous chef!
