Valentine’s Dinner for Two


Valentine’s meal for two – £100
STARTER- Bouillabaisse
A classic French Seafood soup, with chunks of delicate fish and mixed seafood. Photo is a representative image as exact ingredients will depend upon availability on the day.

MAIN COURSE – Beef Wellington
Rump Cannon of beef, seared and wrapped in mushroom duxelles,  pancake and puff pastry. The pastry is uncooked, ready to put in the oven. When the pastry is cooked the beef will be perfectly rare and ready to serve. Comes with Gratin Dauphinois and braised red cabbage. (Photo is a representative image)

PUDDING – Chocolate Mousse
Dark Chocolate and grated orange zest. A simple chocolate mousse, a recipe from “Leith’s Techniques Bible”. To accompany our Diploma in Food and Wine we were given 3 texts books and this recipe was in one of them. In the ’80s and ’90s when Wilson’s Restaurant was in London, I made this pudding frequently for our Sunday Lunch menu.
