Caponata is a rich and tasty side dish, typical of Sicilian cuisine; based on eggplant, peppers, tomato, onion, green olives, capers, celery, basil; with sweet and sour taste! Unique goodness that creates a mix of scents, colours and flavours that recalls the suggestions of a splendid land Sicily.
Widespread throughout the Mediterranean Sea, it is generally used as a side dish or appetizer, but since the 18th century. With unique goodness, it was a single dish, accompanied by bread.
The Caponata that we all know, only on our island has 37 variants, and here I present mine.
