Feijoada (pronounced fay-jwa-da) is one of the most well-known dishes in Brazilian cuisine. My recipe has been adapted accordingly to my family’s taste and the availability of ingredients. Usually, feijoada will have a lot of pork; feet, tail, and ears, and smoked ribs but we are not that traditional and instead, I have replaced those bits with ham, bacon, and smoked pork sausages, which tastes divine! The dish comes with farofa (seasoned cassava flour), rice, fried bananas, steamed greens, and my chilli sauce. A filling meal, especially for weekends.
