A few months ago I was given a large bag of cooking apples from a friends garden, as a lover of both apple pie and crumble, I stumbled upon a dutch apple pie. The dutch apple pie is a combination of the two, I became pretty obsessed with developing this to become the greatest tasting hybrid ever. Finally the deep-dish apple crumble pie was born, seasoned and sweetened cinnamon apples within an apple pie deep dish casing (NOT A PIE), topped with a classic brown sugar crumble.
