Another Jamaican classic dish, ackee and saltfish is a colourful dish and can be eaten for breakfast, brunch or as a side dish. The strong, sharp flavour of the salted cod is complimented by the nutty taste of the ackee, a West African Fruit brought to England by Captain Bligh (Mutiny on the Bounty), from Jamaica to England, and flavoured with herbs, spices and scotch bonnet peppers.
