I am a passionate cook, with over 10 years of experience. I've cooked whilst living and travelling overseas and for private and public community events. I held the first 'Jamaican Independence Day' party in Northern Ireland which was featured in the local media, held World Food Days bringing together divided communities and as a tool for understanding diversity. I've held Jamaican Independence Day celebrations at home and in European Countries. I grew up in Bristol and come from ethnically diverse family. My father was Jamaican. I watched him cooking his traditional recipes, but over the years developed my own style. Growing up within a vibrant and dynamic Jamaican family, I've absorbed its history, culture & stories through the food of this colourful country and would love to share the 'flava's' and recipes of one of the best known Caribbean Islands. Cooking to me is a catalyst for bringing people together and when people want to recreate my food at home, that is the best compliment and inspires me to do more.

My food is traditional Jamaican - jerk chicken, ackee and salt fish are national dishes. I cook spicy, colourful food that reflects the heat, smells, diversity and colours of the Caribbean. Ingredients are varied, authentic, and sourced from local producers whenever possible.
