I moved to London from Algeria at the age of 13 with my parents. I decided on a quieter life in Bristol 2 years ago after over 20 years of being a Londoner and haven't looked back since.My career was in property previously but my true passion has always been making food. My love for making food pre-dates to my childhood years, stood in the kitchen with my mum making notes on ingredients she used and how she used them and she always loved teaching me (still does)Algerian Food is not well known in the UK and I would like to share some of my own favourite Algerian dishes that so full of culture and history.about my food
Algerian (or Maghrib) cuisine, like most North African cuisines, has been influenced by different cultures and nations over the centuries - starting with the Berbers (Kabyle people being one of Berber's indigenous groups) - that have contributed something unique to the country's culinary delights. Followed by the Ottoman Empire, the Arabs, the Spanish and the French.Algeria's cuisine is an eclectic mix of flavours, aromas and textures, It is colourful Mediterranean and North African cuisine with Berber roots!see more..

We ordered the Algerian sharing feast, giant couscous, stuffed dolma and cheese and spinach bourek - it was delicious! My in laws were over for dinner and they were really impressed with the food. None of us had eaten Algerian food before so that was exciting to have a new culinary experience. We collected it and everything was packaged perfectly and labelled. We were having left overs for days, lucky us! Thank you so much Salima.

What a delicious and flavoursome meal that was! Salima put together a special meal for four of us and it was absolutely amazing. Each dish carefully prepared and bursting with flavours and a great variety of foods: chicken tagine, cheese bureks, beef meatballs, home made breads, aubergine and potatoes and two delicious dips, one with peppers and one with yogurt and olives, all incredible!!! What a talented cook Salima is!!

I was unsure whether ordering the beef meatball tagine, giant couscous stew and zaalouk would be enough food for two people but it was with the unexpected addition of 2 pots of salad and 2 flatbreads, which together made for a very tasty supper. All in all this was a great experience.

Delicious food, beautifully presented, and piping hot! Particularly liked the meatballs which were delish!
