Naples is the capital of pizza and it is my hometown. So, we Neapolitans, we have pizza in our genes! But of course, during the 15 years I have worked in one of Bristol’s most famous Italian restaurants, San Carlo, I made the whole range of Italian dishes, and above all, pastas.
Last year I decided it was time to move out of my comfort zone and to experience cooking in other kitchens across the city. I wanted to ensure I had lots of varied experiences before starting on my long-term dream of setting up my own restaurant. I loved the challenge of working in different environments with new people.
With no work during the first lockdown, I decided to turn that down time into a productive time by starting on my dream of setting up my own business A presto! I perfected my own homemade pizzas, Neapolitan style, and began sharing them with neighbours. Giving a pizza is like giving a smile, and people needed that during the lockdown. This is besides a crucial, important point to me, because I do think that cooking has a social role to play, bringing happiness and connecting people.
Once I was totally happy with my pizzas, which took some time as I am a bit of a perfectionist, I began asking my neighbours to give me feedback. I was overwhelmed with how much they loved them! I was getting compliments on all elements, from the tomato sauce to the quality of the crusts and freshness of the toppings. I’m passionate about using the best organic ingredients!

As a chef, I am used to being in a kitchen and never seeing or hearing how much people are enjoying my dishes, but with All About The Cooks I am looking forward to the direct communication I will have with those who will order and enjoy my food.
Let me tell you that I have big ambitions. I want my food, my pizzas, pastas and risottos, to be like the sunshine in people’s days and I hope that by building my reputation and business, I will be able to bring that sunshine to more and more people. I feel sure All About The Cooks will be an important stepping stone in my journey!

I really loved the pizzas we had last night! especially the salsiccia e friarielli white pizza, which was delicious and not what you can normally find in pizzerias. Definitely worth a go, they are fresh with good toppings and like the real pizza napoletana. Great service too!

My husband and I wanted something different so tried the prosciutto pizza, Penne, Pescheri pasta and the pistachio cheesecake, and I just couldn’t say what was my favourite. Everything was just amazing, seriously great and fresh flavours that really transported us to Italy.We devoured all of our meals within seconds, and we will definitely be back for more. Believe it or not, I love food. But not all food. It has to be good! It has to be great!Tonight we had one Margherita and two Prosciutto and Funghi.They were more than good and great. They were sublimed!! Restaurant perfect, and, as my youngest daughter told us, very yummy (She is usually very fussy, but tonight she went back for more portions). A great result and a happy, well fed family. Thank you Giuseppe. And if you would allow me using Google Translate, let me say this “Grazie mille per questa buona pizza”.
